Notting Hill, West London. According to Tom Vague's "Rachman, Riots and Rillington Place" this was the heart of infamous slum landlord Peter Rachman's empire. It's still pretty down-at-heel compared to the rest of the area.

The starting point of the project NPNR is the intention to describe the personal perception of the surrounding space experienced by different people; the objective is to narrate how acity, that can be the native city, the city where you spend your holidays, the city where you only spend one day, can convey different sensationsandemotions accordingly with our state of mind and specific mood. For this reason we are collecting different images as specific memories that could evoke the spirit of the city chosen, to create a site-specific work that would like to involve as many people as possible. the work will be articulate on two levels, the first one of collective participation and the second one where one artist would elaborate and synthesise the material collected in order to create a final piece, site-specific.
